The Schlern area is particularly
well-known for its manifold walking and hiking opportunities, both for
the young and the not-so-young. You'll find a plethora of well-maintained
paths and tracks to suit every level of experience and fitness.
In just under half an hour you can drive or take the bus to the SEISERALM (alt. 1800-2100m), which covers an area of 54 sq. km. and is thus the most extensive plateau in Europe. A paradise for hikers in a sea of flowers. An adrenalin rush in the face of the rock, a stamina-testing hike up steep slopes, a refreshing dip of your feet in the mountain streams, or simply a leisurely stroll over meadows in full bloom. The area around the Langkofel and Plattkofel, Rosengarten and Schlern mountains offer just about everything.
From March to November you can play golf at the Golfclub Kastelruth / Seiser Alm. The 18-hole golf courses is at about 3 km from the hotel.
The city of Bozen/Bolzano is only a half hour with the bus too. The bus stop is a mere three-minute walk from our house. Other sports and activities
