Völs am Schlern offers a variety of cultural events and places of outstanding cultural interest. A special place in the cultural calendar is held by Prösels castle, which plays host to classical concerts, exhibitions and fairs throughout the year, and the Trostburg castle, which is situated in the neighbouring village of Waidbruck.

Also the many churches and chapels in and around Völs are well worth a visit. In addition, the local tourist office, the Tourismusverein Völs, organises guided walking tours with visits of old traditional farmsteads.
